I originally contacted Dorie when my ex filed a complaint against me and I was possibly facing very serious charges. The allegations against me were false and talking with Dorie I was very confident we would get the truth out. Fortunately charges were never filed and we did not have to fight that case. If we did I was 100% sure I had found the right lawyer. My ex kept at it and I did hire Dorie to handle a much less serious matter. In court Dorie was fearless and aggressive. Absolutely phenomenal experience with Dorie. She handled my wife’s federal case. That had many charges of forgery. She was faces MANY MANY YEARS in federal prison. There was so many charges that the state just wrapped them all up into one big charge, well she handled it very well what could have turned in to 30 years turned out to be 24 mounts in a federal women’s camp in Ky. She will serve 20 MO’s of the 24 and will be home sometime in or around Aug or Sept to do serve the rest of her time at home detention or halfway house/work release program. I am the husband by the way. We have two kids at home 3yr and 6years now, But I have to say Dorie was very nice and treated us very nice and respectful yes my wife did the crime. But dorie wanted to make sure she got a good trial and the outcome was close or something we could live with. If you are looking for a great lawyer that will do what needs to be done and will treat you with respect even though you did something wrong then she is the one to pick. My juvenile son was charged with two very serious felonies. I contacted Mrs. Maryan and had at least one thousand questions for her. She was very patient with me from the beginning to the end. She explained the process in terms that I could understand. She kept in constant contact throughout the entire process. I knew all along that I had made the right decision but it was confirmed for me when the detective from the State of Indiana’s side after being destroyed on the witness stand by Mrs. Maryan, leaned over to the Prosecuting Attorney and said “She’s Good!” I whole heartedly agree! The judge did as well because my son was found not guilty on both felonies thanks to Mrs. Maryan!

Dorie is a wonderful attorney! My husband got into some really steep federal trouble, and because of finances, we were unable to obtain an attorney of our own. Dorie was appointed, by the court, to my husband’s federal criminal case, and we have been very happy with her! A friend recommended Dorie Maryian, He had used her to defend his son, and knew I had not only been arrested, but had an existing felony. While I was on probation for an unrelated charge. I was facing 2 1/2 years for this new charge, plus 6 yrs for a violation of my probation, because I had a new charge. Dorie took control of my case, showed the Judge that he had not just the right, to dismiss this case, but the legal cause as well. The Judge was reluctant to put his name on a dismissal. So Dorie took the next step in resolving my case. She did an expert job taking depositions, gathering evidence, taking pictures, driving the route involved. All the while giving me enough comfort to maintain sanity. I have been told that when selecting an attorney you should always consider the 3 C’s, Credentials, Comfort, and Cost. Along with that try to examine case history. There is a reason Dorie has been listed in the rising stars section of “Super Lawyers” and in the top 100 Criminal defense lawyers. All the reviews I have found for her have been 5 star, except 1 and I think that review was for someone other than Dorie. As we went to trial where I sat and listened to the prosecutor badmouth me. Lie about me, and the events of the day, Dorie calmly worked the room and all of their witnesses as smoothly as she worked the legal system. In the end she brought in a “Not Guilty” verdict, kept the peace with my probation officer, and smoothed out everything in my life. Voluntary Manslaughter/ Not Guilty
Mrs. Maryan did an excellent job of character building in a sentencing trial. However, her strong suit and most adventitious skill was in presenting and reviewing with the judge the state/department of corrections own risk review tool. She demonstrated the pros to the doc, the community, and the defendants of limited incarceration and enhanced home monitoring. Without the use of the DOCs own tools, the sentencing would have been years, nearly a decade. Mrs. Maryan successfully reduced that to home incarceration where the defendant could, in fact, continue to be a productive member of society, and his children would not have to depend on the state for support. I would recommend her to anyone in any situation.

Excellent Attorney To Work With
Dorie represented me in a Class B Criminal Mischief case. I actually just left the courthouse and thought I’d write this review to ensure I wouldn’t forget to give her the credit she deserves handling the case. I only had one court date and pled all the way down to 12 community service hours only. No probation, no classes, etc. She was very professional and friendly at the same time. Not to mention she dropped my legal fee’s! Not to say that will necessarily happen for you but that’s just a little insight to her character and honesty. Thanks Dorie!
